ICES is purposely growing slowly, carefully and exponentially! Experience consistently shows that organizations growing too quickly almost always fall victim to lower standards. This weakness is sometimes disguised by flowery language in expensive marketing promotions and the key issue is whether or not actual practice matches projected theory. ICES relies mainly on personal recommendations via word of mouth…and, unlike some competing organizations, we have never lost a school. Bigger usually isn’t better! Districts and schools considering After School providers should ALWAYS check with existing program principals.
